My name is Nicole, I’m 22 years old and live in Brookswood, Langley. I’m am in my fourth year of my bachelors degree at UFV in child, youth, and family studies. I have always taken an interest in working alongside children, and started doing various babysitting jobs at the age of 14. I previously nannied for a family that had a 3, 5, and 7 year old. I completed my practicums last year at an elementary school working with children from Kindergarten to grade 5, and then transitioned to Langley Boys and Girls Club, working again with children in kindergarten all the way to grade 9. I am currently completing a practicum at St.Leo's house. I am looking to transition into a flexible job where I can nanny/babysit on days I don’t have practicum, and before I have to go to my classes. I am also open to being available on the odd evening or weekend. I am very energetic and approachable, and value building trusting and fun relationships for children. I am a big family girl, and love to learn and grow alongside children, while encouraging and promoting positivity, responsibility, and an upbeat, healthy environment. At my practicums, I was able to work with children with autism, ADHD, anxiety, etc, but would not consider myself an expert. I am very eager to learn more about working with these little ones and would never turn down the opportunity to learn more about them. I have been casually babysitting since approximately the age of 14. I have looked after children between the ages of 1 and 15 and am eager to expand my experience with all ages! I would be more than willing to look after children with special needs although I do not copious amounts of experience in that area. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: As i am working towards completing my bachelors degree and will be graduating in April, i am looking for a long term job with your family. I am planning on completing my Masters degree in counselling once i graduate my Bachelors and would love to transition into full time from April to September, and then back into part time while i complete my Masters Degree. I currently have my Food Safe, FirstAid and CPR, and naloxone certifications. In October and December, i will be completing my Cultural Awareness certification, and my Situational Awareness certification.

I am currently going into my fourth year of my Child, Youth, and Family Studies Bachelor degree.
