  About Me

I am currently enrolled in the Elementary Education program at the University of Victoria. I am interested in working with children in a daycare and/or nannying position as I particularly enjoy working with young children. I am interested in working in this area because it is directly related to the field of my study I am currently taking time off from school for a while in order to save money and obtain experience. I have a lot of experience working in high-stress situations and I work well under pressure and am able to remain calm and focused on finding solutions. I have always loved kids and started babysitting when I was 13. I worked with a family on and off for a few years and took care of their 3 kids, ages 11, 6 and 1. I would prepare meals, bathe, and entertain the children. I also worked for an equestrian based summer camp I was responsible for 6-8 children between the ages of 4-12.
I have recently obtained my 1st Aid & CPR/AED training, have Food Safe and my Class 5 driving license and am willing to obtain almost any certification necessary. I have also undergone 3 years of culinary training when I was in secondary school. I would prefer a live-out situation since I am based in a central location and I am willing to commute.
