I am a registered nurse from the Philippines with 2 years of experience as a volunteer nurse in different hospitals, and also, with 6 years of experience in the clinical process outsourcing industry as a data entry associate. I am currently taking up Healthcare Administration as a post-graduate course at Canadore College, Scarborough Campus. Presently, I am employed as a Personal Support Worker for an elderly man with dementia and an enlarged prostate. I am extremely organized, calm, and professional with excellent healthcare skills. I work well with kids and the older population by being the best and efficient companion or caregiver. I took care of my ailing grandmother back in the Philippines when she was hospitalized for a month, and before she died of heart attack. I took care of my older sister's 2 sons back in the Philippines, ages 2 and 4. It was not a walk in the park kind of thing. With 2 boys, it was a handful. I learned the art of acting and offering rewards to them when they started acting up. They took interest in arts & crafts which are very helpful when I am multi-tasking. Showing them toys and writing materials, they will be engaged enough and could learn a lot of things at a very young age. Sometimes, patience gets to you but I never let it overcome me as I love caring for these kids. Children have brilliant and creative minds which interests me a lot.
