My name is Jaclyn and I am 33 years old, I am currently a Direct Support Worker. In this role I closely monitor a young non verbal autistic male who is behavioral and support him with his day to day tasks. This includes personal hygiene, feeding, working on his cognitive and critical thinking, speech and sensory activities. I take him to see his family on a weekly basis, create outdoor and indoor activities to do with him and most importantly make sure he is in a positive and safe environment.

In my experience as a nanny, I strive to provide the very best helping hand for busy parents and their children. I have been doing this for every family I have worked with for over 10 years and am confident that I would make a positive impact as part of your household as well. I come from a background where my family owns their own daycare that I was also a part of while growing up and still help with in my free time. This being said, working with children comes as second nature to me. I have encountered a variety of family situations which have shaped me into a flexible and proficient worker. I take the time to plan age appropriate activities for children providing safe and fun learning opportunities. I am able to maintain a schedule assisting children with any school assignments, planning extra curricular activities, meal prepping for the family and doing any light household duties that they may need. I believe the most important thing for this position is having open communication with the parents, where we can discuss the child's growth and progress throughout the new changes for them and for you. I find that this offers peace of mind and parents value the input and ability to maintain and set expectations. I have also coached children’s sports teams. I enjoy being active and encourage it. I’m very good at multi tasking. I helped with all house hold duties, grocery shopping, meal prepping and did various activities with them to help stay active and educated. I have a passion for helping nurture and develop children of all ages and would bring a high level of enthusiasm and determination to complete any task in an effective manner.
