  About Me

I have successfully worked as an early childhood educator for over 20 years, and feel that I have the required qualifications and experience that you are looking for in a potential employee.

I am a friendly, mature, responsible, trustworthy and reliable person. I am self-motivated, show initiative and have a strong work ethic. It is very important to me to provide a safe, nurturing and compassionate environment while engaging with children, as well as supporting children in ways that enhance their self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. My background as an early childhood educator has included preparing classroom activities based on the interests and needs of the children, and supporting their individual learning styles. In addition, I was responsible for monitoring the social and emotional development of the children, as well as making regular assessments of each child's overall development. I am also certified as a Literacy Coach with the Seeds of Empathy program, which is designed to foster social and emotional competence, and early literacy skills in children aged 3-5 years.

I have professionally worked with toddlers and preschoolers, and also have volunteer experience working with school-age children. I love children and have enjoyed having the great privilege of being a facilitator in the exciting process of their learning experiences. As I no longer prefer to work in a group setting (daycare/preschool), I feel that caring for children in their own home, as a nanny, would be the perfect opportunity to continue my career. I am also able to complete housekeeping chores if required. In addition, I am certified in Standard First-Aid and CPR (Level C), have up-to-date immunizations and would be willing to obtain a Criminal Reference Check.

Thank you kindly for your time and consideration of my application. I would love the opportunity to meet with you for an interview, to further discuss my suitability for the position as a child caregiver for your family. References are available upon request.

Sincerely,

Tracey
