I have successfully worked as an early childhood educator for over 20 years and also have one year of experience working as a nanny. I feel that I have the required qualifications and experience that you are looking for in someone to care for your child/children. I am a friendly, mature, responsible, trustworthy and reliable person. I am self-motivated, show initiative and have a strong work ethic. It is very important to me to provide a safe, nurturing, compassionate and fun environment while engaging with children, as well as supporting children in ways that enhance their self-esteem, self-confidence and independence. My background as an early childhood educator has included preparing classroom activities based on the interests and needs of the children and supporting their learning styles. In addition, I was responsible for monitoring the social and emotional development of the children, as well as making regular assessments of each child's overall development. I have professionally worked with toddlers and preschoolers, and also have volunteer experience working with school-age children. While working as a nanny, I cared for two children, aged 3 and 7 years old. My responsibilities included: planning various activities (indoor and outdoor) to prepare the 3-year-old for Junior Kindergarten; preparing lunch and snacks; walking the 7-year-old to and from school; and household chores, such as laundry, vacuuming, light cleaning and keeping the house tidy. I love children and have enjoyed having the great privilege of being a facilitator in the exciting process of their learning experiences. As I am no longer interested in working in a group setting (daycare/preschool), I feel that caring for children in their own home, as a nanny, would be the perfect opportunity to continue my career. I enjoy cleaning and have very detail-oriented and meticulous cleaning skills. I am also able to do other housekeeping chores as required. In addition, I have Standard First-Aid/CPR (Level C) certification, have up-to-date immunizations, have been fully vaccinated for Covid and would be willing to get a Criminal Reference Check. Thank you kindly for your time and consideration. I would love the opportunity to meet with you for an interview, to further discuss my suitability for the position as a child caregiver for your family.
