Hello there. It is with great enthusiasm to connect with my community to find a full-time position as a home child-care provider and/or housekeeper, as it speaks to my ambition to enhance the daily care of a family through compassion, hard work and an abundance of patience. I am a versatile, Jill of all Trades with a decked out set of soft skills. During a brief sabbatical last year, I took time for personal development and to volunteer, while re-evaluating the direction of my career. I attended weekly courses to sharpen my math skills and technical abilities in Microsoft Office, while continuing to engage in creative writing tutorials and solving equations for fun. I also enjoyed being the go-to, “Mom’s helper” for three different clients, namely my friends, who have children between the ages of one and a half and nine. Throughout the year, I assisted with daily care, nurturing and engagement. I also co-ordinated weekly outdoor activities, assisted with scheduling and household duties. Most recently, I served for two and a half years as a retail associate and housekeeper with the Salvation Army in Newmarket. I am known for taking pride in being an avid cleaner and I am well-versed in washing, ironing and pressing clothing and linen. This opportunity would be a fresh start to further my skill sets in childhood education and housekeeping as well as a commitment to a meaningful, collaborative role as your family’s day-to-day helper.

I am a tactile learner, detail-oriented, reliable and always receptive to recommendations and feedback. When caring for children, it is my goal to provide a clean, organized and creative environment with a promise to promote play, to be an interactive homework tutor and an inspired chef of nutritious and colourful meals. In high school, I was a camp counselor for five summers at Kids World Day Camp and participated in the Youth Assisting Youth mentorship program for six years. Both experiences were very meaningful and a lot of fun.
