My name is Rachel and I am currently attending Loyalist College in the Child and Youth Care program. I am looking for a job as a nanny for the summer to gain more experience in working with children. I have been babysitting for the past 5 years and have lots of experience with children. I have done lots of volunteering in elementary schools as well as in summer camps. I have also done a co-op at an elementary school in a grade 3/4 split classroom. I love working with children and I am great at finding fun creative new ways to keep them busy. Some certifications I have include First Aid and CPR-C, High 5 Principles of Healthy Child Development as well as the Triple P certifications for children and teens. Some classes that I have taken include Childhood Mental Health, Therapeutic Recreational Strategies and Therapeutic Engagement. These classes have helped me develop many different strategies that I am able to put into place when working with children.

I have my 3-year child ad youth care diploma, have babysat for several families over the years as well as volunteered at various summer camps and done a co-op in an elementary school. I started babysitting when I was around 12 years old have gained so much experience within these years. I love finding new games and activities to use when working with children and do my best to keep them busy. I am consistently trying to find creative new ways to keep kids entertained. I have gained a lot of initiative when it come to working with children.
