My name is Kara, I am 24 years old, I have a diploma from Durham college in the social service worker program and a bachelors degree in forensic psychology at Ontario tech university. I have been doing competitive cheerleading for 15 years and I have been coaching competitive cheerleading for 6 years. I have 3 years experience working with special needs adults and children. Working with special needs individuals has become something I am truly passionate about as it has prepared me for working with individuals of all ages with or without disabilities. I get this experience from my college placement and my volunteer work for team Canada special needs cheerleading team. The work I do with these individuals has taught me so much about life, love and more than I could ever learn in a textbook. My hands on experience with many different individuals is so valuable and I am eager to continue my work in childcare. I am CPR/first aid certified and I have my vulnerable sector check/criminal reference check available and am willing to get anymore qualifications or checks upon request.

I have 2 Years experience working with adults with special needs obtained from my college placement the agencies I work/worked with are named Sunrise youth group and Daysplus centre for adults with special needs. I also have just over 8 months experience working with adults and children with special needs obtained from the special needs cheerleading team I volunteer with. The special needs cheerleading team I volunteer for is named PCT cobras eternity.
