My name is Marissa. I am a 20-year-old girl currently in an online Fashion Design program at Yorkville University. My dream since I can remember has been to one day start my own clothing store as I am a very creative girl who loves to express herself through art and fashion. I played rep soccer from the age of 13-18 and throughout the years also played baseball, rugby, gymnastics, and flag football. I am very passionate about helping children find something they love doing as finding fashion shaped me into a hardworking and driven person. I am an extremely friendly, energetic and dependable person who loves to make people smile and laugh. I strive to make a positive impact on people's lives as I was raised to always be kind and understanding. Additionally, I love to read, sew and cook.

Starting at the age of 13, I babysat two young boys every day after school until 6 pm and sometimes the occasional weekend. This included sometimes cooking for them, taking them swimming, creating games for them but overall always making sure they were entertained and having fun. I built a very strong relationship with these boys and looked at them as my little brothers. I did this for about 4 years and during that time I also occasionally watched my 2 young neighbours. When I was 17 I began babysitting for a one year old girl and a 4 year old girl. This included watching both children from 7 am to 4 pm while their parents worked. I made breakfast and lunch for them and multitasked taking care of both of them. When they went for naps I did housekeeping for the family as well including dishes, organizing, and gardening.
