My name is MIA-MEI, a Filipino, born on October 31, 1995. I graduated with the degree Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Major in Marketing Management in the Mariano Marcos State University in 2016. I also completed my Caregiving NC II on 2017 in the Philippines.
I would love to have the chance to help a family manage their busy schedules and be a part of their kids' lives. I am certain I would be a great care provider for the family as I have great amount of experience and am a natural nurturer.
My background includes:
- 870 hours of caregiver training at Primacare Training Center & Development Laoag City, Inc. in the Philippines.
- Almost 5 years of child care experience in Canada.
- Volunteered at Unity Builder in the Nation and Government Southeast Asian Youth Leadership Program (UBING-SEAYLP) to connect and outreach to the youth and children in rural areas.
- Been elected as Sangguniang Kabataan (Youth Council) Chairperson in our community to serve my constituents (my fellow youth and the children). Engaged the children & the youth in making our community socially, physically, mentally, spiritually and environmentally safe.
- Worked on several projects at Venvi Group of Companies that involve organizing events for children. Also planned & implemented CSR programs that gear children towards better learning.
- The youngest child in the family, I often help in taking care of my nieces & nephews.
My background and skills with young children make me a great fit for the role of Child Care Provider. I have a patient, lively and caring demeanor but am also authoritative and earn the respect and trust of children whom I work.
I know hiring someone to take care of your children can be a daunting experience, and I am willing to help make you comfortable in doing so.
My Child Care Work Experience Includes:
- Performed light housekeeping work.
- Demonstrated ability to provide care for two children.
- Managed daily needs including meals preparation, personal hygiene & dressing.
- Organized children’s daily schedules, including meals, school and recreational activities - go to parks, have a walk in the mall and go to Telus World of Science, Lake, Galaxyland, Edmonton Valley Zoo, Muttart Conservatory, Library, Indoor playgrounds and many more (only with parents' permission of course).
-Drove kids to/from school and to many other activities such as dance lesson, gymnastics, swimming lesson, etc.
-Tended to children’s emotional well-being.
- Proficient communication with children at different developmental stages.
- Strong ability to assist children with school works.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and graduated with Latin Honor. I earned 33 units in Master in Management. I passed the licensure exam for marketing practitioners from JA Philippines (a member of JA Worldwide), Registered Marketing Professional examination.
Graduated in Caregiving NC II as well in the Philippines which is an avenue for me to learn the Basic Life Support principles. This is where I earned a strong foundation of caregiving skills.
These two sectors I have involved myself into are quite different from each other but I have learned one thing, Marketer or Caregiver, they aim one thing - that is to take good care of their clients’ needs.
