I was raised by my parents in a small town, along with my 2 brothers and one sister. I have always had babies and children in my life including my siblings, cousins, and children of family friends. I have also done some volunteering in my church’s nursery and during summer camps. Having all these children in my life led to many babysitting jobs. I started babysitting for cousins when I was 12 years old and continued babysitting for other families throughout high school. The children I’ve babysat have been between the ages of 2 -10. I have taken family studies and parenting courses throughout high school, including a dual credit co-op program in my last year. This program gave me the opportunity to take 2 college courses (Foundations of Curriculum and Child Development- The Early Years) and to work at 2 co-op placements. One of my placements was in a toddler room at a daycare with children from 18 months - 2 ½ years old, and the other was a before school program for children in grades 3-6. A little bit more about my interests and hobbies, I have been involved in dance for 10 years, I like playing board games, going for walks, singing, and travelling. I like to do some creative/crafty things such as crocheting, painting, and making bracelets. I love spending time with my family doing activities outside or having cozy movie nights together. I love children and would be thrilled to have a job doing something that I love.
