Hi! My name is Annika. I am a 4th-year student studying Kinesiology at the University of Toronto. People tend to describe me as easygoing, caring, creative, organized, and reliable. My goal is to provide the best environment for the family. Activities that I would like to incorporate include play-time, crafts, educational games, and physical activity. My hobbies include reading, baking, running, hiking, and playing the piano.

Ever since I can remember I have loved being around children. I have primarily worked with toddlers, preschoolers, elementary-aged children, and pre-teens, but love all ages. In high school, I started babysitting my 2 cousins during the school year and summer, and then other children in my neighbourhood. Over the last few years, I have worked with children as a piano teacher, math tutor, volunteer at an elementary school, and coach of a 4-6 year old girls lacrosse team. In addition, my job as a cooking school assistant has allowed me to run safe, fun, inclusive events (e. g., summer camps, cooking classes, birthday parties) for children from 3-16 years of age.

I am currently a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Toronto in Kinesiology and Physical Education. In 2019, I was awarded a Dean’s Scholarship in the faculty of physical education and health.
