My name is Raquel, I am 28 years old, born in Canada and raised in Portugal. I came back here at 20 years old by myself and got an opportunity to work with children. Worked in daycare system for 8 years, I have experience with all ages from infants to school-agers. I love arts and crafts, so painting and getting all messy and having fun. I like gardening and go for walks, which is part of science and nature, while on our walks I like to come up with games to make it more interesting, counting the animals or make like a scavenger hunt (ex they have a little paper with different animal/flowers/trees and during the walk they will have to check). Love playing soccer and basketball, do some stretches or yoga, as movement and outdoors its some that is very important to children. I love to bake and love to use it as a source of sensory, math and Montessori. Love to read books as it helps to relax the body and let their imagination going.

Worked in daycare for 8 years. I do have visual cards as well if necessary, as it helps with communication. I like to look for activities where I see the children are most interest in and try to open up for other areas where the child might not be so interested in.
