I have been teaching children overseas for the past seven years. I spent one year in South Korea teaching at an elementary school. The other six years were spent in Japan in a pre-school/kindergarten environment. My homeroom classes were with students that were three years old, although I did work with students aged 1-5 during other supervision hours and during various field trips and events. The last school I worked at was an IB school, and so much of the focus for the students was on helping them to think and learn independently and form their own ideas and opinions on how to do various activities. I love to have fun together with the children that I am looking after, but also consider their safety to be my highest priority. In the past, I enjoyed playing games with my students, making crafts, taking them outside and to "new" places such as the park, and giving them as many good experiences and memories as possible. Personally, I enjoy spending time outside, particularly doing activities like hiking or going to the beach. I also have fun baking, and I love animals (especially dogs and my own little puppy. ). I look forward to meeting you and your family. I recently moved to the Saskatoon area and will be starting a Masters degree in September. For now, all classes will be online in my program, so I can be flexible with my schedule.

I spent one year teaching elementary students (grades 1-6) in South Korea. I spent six years as a homeroom teacher for 3 year olds. Two of those six years, I also taught English and circle time lessons to 4 year olds. Throughout my six years in Japan, I also spent time with students aged 1-5 years old during combined supervision time, play time, events and field trips.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Geography, a TESOL certificate and am currently in the process of beginning a Master of Arts in TESOL.
