My name is Grace and I love taking care of and playing with kids. I began taking a leadership role and having the responsibility of taking care of children at a young age. I volunteered at a ringette association where I helped teach kids how to skate, organized fun games and activities, and helped out at practices. I have been responsible for taking care of up to five children at a time in the nursery at a church and then led a group of about ten children during their vacation bible school. I have had lots of experience babysitting children where it often entailed entertaining them, cooking them food, and cleaning. I have six siblings, the older ones have taught me so much valuable information and the younger ones have provided me with the experience I have to watch young children. I enjoy playing many sports and engaging in physical activity. Over the years I have played soccer, rugby, done dance, and I continue to play ringette. I am currently a student at McMaster studying psychology of human behaviour with an autism specialization. This degree has provided me with non-violent crisis intervention training and I am willing to obtain first aid or CPR if necessary. Feel free to contact me if you think it could be a good fit.

I worked as a reading tutor for children with learning disabilities for a three week program last summer. I volunteered for both Cambridge and Hamilton Ringette Associations helping children learn to skate and being an example during practices. I volunteered at Farringdon Independent Church in the nursery and during the vacation bible school watching over children for hours. I babysat children making them food, cleaning around the house, and making sure they were always entertained.

I am currently in my second year at McMaster University. I am seeking a Bachelor of Science in Psychology of Human Behaviour with a specialization in Autism and Behavioural Science. Completing this degree will provide me with two summer placements where I will gain experience working with people with autism. In addition, I will graduate with an Ontario College Graduate Certificate for Autism and Behavioural Science from Mohawk College.
