| I was born in Vancouver but grew up on a farm in Connecticut and was surrounded by animals and children during the majority of my childhood. I have extensive dog sitting and babysitting experience, as well as management experience in the service industry. I have a huge passion for the healing arts and have my Reiki certification, and spent the last year studying the Art of Ceremonial Breathwork. | One of my first jobs as a teen was working for FOCUS Center for Autism, a non-profit organization that helps children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, and other related disorders, achieve their full potential. I was a support staff during the after school program as well as their Summer Social Skills Immersion Program. I helped facilitate social learning environments and worked directly with children to help them learn to manage their anxiety, frustration, and behaviour. I also spent a year working in a daycare, and have babysat for many family friend's throughout the years. |
