Hello, my name is Piera. I was born and raised in Toronto. I am an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators. I graduated from George Brown College with Honours and the Dean's award. I have 5 years experience working with children as an Educational Assistant and Special Needs Assistant for the Toronto District School Board. As an ECE, I possess the knowledge to understand the different stages of child development and how to support children through those stages with patience, respect and sensitivity. My hobbies are cooking, long walks and classical music. I have a 23 year old son who is on the Autism spectrum. He graduated from George Brown College and is now studying at Centennial College and plans to attend university in the future. He is my greatest accomplishment in life and he is proof that a rich, supportive educational environment goes a long way.
