About me: My name is Chiara and I am a 24 year old female who loves animals, children, and being creative. My hobbies include reading, writing, the odd video game, running track, and drawing. I’m currently living with my fiancé of 9 years in Richmond hill; we were high school sweethearts and were fortunate enough to find an apartment complex in our price range and decided to jump-start our lives together. I previously left my professional workplace as a manager in December of 2022, as it didn’t fulfil what I wanted to do in life; I wanted to go back to studying children development as well as take personal time off. Since then, I have worked as a part-time nanny (aside from my previous college experience), and looking towards furthering my education. I’m studious in literature from my past college years at Seneca, continuing my love for reading and writing personally with short stories, poetry, and reading novels. I have certain mathematical abilities from my previous job as a manager for over a year as well as organizational structure. I have been working since I was just 14 in high school through different roles and I wouldn't give up the chance to be a nanny again for anything as I quickly found out when I was 18 it was my passion. Children are beautiful to understand, bond with, and care for. I would love to meet you and your family! :)

Growing up I constantly took care of my younger sister as well as my younger cousins. However I do have professional experiences with other families as well; I worked full time for a family with two little boys, 2 and 4 (i watched them turn 3 and 5), unfortunately being let go because the mother got pregnant, therefore put on maternity leave. I showed up to the house everyday around 7 am (earlier or later if needed), and stayed until the desired time for the day. The parents work schedule was incredibly hectic so I would sometimes stay until 2, or sometimes I would stay until 5. The boys and I got along super well, so it wasn't a concern if I had to stay an entire day. My responsibilities included teaching the older one colors, letters, writing, reading, etc. while the younger one would just somewhat listen and learn for himself. We played physical activities like soccer or street hockey, wrote stories together, and would play Mario party or Pokemon for just under an hour as a "treat". then I worked for another family with a 6 year old boy and a 9 year old girl. I picked them up from school and walked down the street with them back to the house. There, I would help with homework, play board games like Monopoly, and overall bring them out for little ice cream days or walks around the town. These children were incredibly mature for their age and I quickly formed a little-older-sister type bond with the girl. In fact, I still occasionally talk to her via social media. When covid restrictions took place however, I was let go, and never put back on the job. Recently, from early April to the 20th of July, I was watching after an 11month that turned 1 years old, and temporarily let go for the rest of the summer season, however I am currently looking for short or long term employment. My duties with the baby included bottle feeding, changing diapers, educational playtime, reading, feeding, and cleaning after any child-involved messes. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I am willing to discuss pay, hours, and certain duties, as I am extremely flexible. I am as well enrolling myself into doing my CPR certificate

I finished high school with a diploma, and eventually ventured on to Seneca for Journalism; although the experience was amazing, it wasn't the proper program for me and after my second year I decided to call it quits. Dropping out is when I became a nanny full time and realized my love for children even more, possibly wanting to go back to school for teaching, however I am also a very energetic and hands-on worker, therefore I am thinking of going to school for a trade like plumbing or electrician.
