I am retired, moved to Ottawa a few years ago to help take care of my grandchildren. They are now school age so I can just spoil them and be a grandma.. Up until Covid hit I was working for a family with 4 children as a nanny. I provided childcare, light housekeeping, meal prep and time permitting other house hold tasks. I truly developed a bond with them and they were like part of my family. During my free time I like spending time with family and friends, being outside, sewing and baking. I was nanny to my 3 grandchildren from birth to present, they are now all school age. After that I was nanny to a family with 4 children (aged 6-14) In providing childcare I would look after children’s hygiene, be sure they eat breakfast, school lunches made and accompany them to meet the school bus in the morning and meet the bus at the end of the day, preparing an after school snack. I did meal prep, light housekeeping, including kitchen clean up, emptying or load the dishwasher, sweeping/vacuuming main floor, Surface cleaning of main floor rooms. Time permitting I would put a load of laundry in or transfer a load to the dryer. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: A letter of reference is available from my previous childcare employer, also have one other reference. I have criminal/ vulnerability check. I have my own vehicle.
