Hi. My name is Sydney. I am originally from Ottawa, and was born and raised here. I love working with children (they are wonderful. ), and hold lots of experience within this area. I have worked with diverse groups of children, many between the ages of 4-12, with varying needs and personalities. I recently have worked with the Extended Day Program with OCSB, facilitating before and after school programs for kindergarteners. My main duties included: Preparing healthy and tasty snacks in a timely manner (while taking into consideration different allergies, dietary restrictions, etc)., facilitating and planning fun, safe and educational programming consisting of main subjects such as science, math, arts, drama, etc., supervising a group of 30 children, and assisting with homework. I hold a diploma in Social Service Work, as well as a degree in Sociology, and I am passionate about helping children reach their full potential. I really enjoy what I do. I have lengthy experience working with diverse groups of youth, and have worked mainly alongside children from the age of kindergarten to grade 6, these past five years.

I hold a bachelor degree in Sociology from Carleton, as well as a SSW diploma from Algonquin.
