Hello! I'm Chloe, a 21-year-old nanny based in Langley, passionate about childcare and fostering the growth and development of children. As a recent graduate in graphic design, I have found it incredibly rewarding to blend my skills as an artist into my caregiving role. Throughout the past 9 years, I have had extensive experience caring for a diverse range of children, including my two neurodivergent siblings. This has shaped my understanding and perspective towards caregiving, enabling me to adapt to the unique needs of every child. In terms of my availability, I can flexibly work most evenings and nights throughout the week, and while I can work earlier in the day, I teach after school art classes 2-4pm. My schedule is open for weekends afternoon and midday, as well as evenings with prior notice. I am primarily seeking part-time or occasional work. I am open to taking on extra duties such as cooking, light housekeeping, running errands, and even pet care. As well as my experience in caring for children from newborns to those over 10 years old and teaching after school art classes, I have also spent time as a dance teacher and a tutor. Teaching in these various capacities has made me passionate about helping children grow, learn, and express themselves in a variety of ways. In my downtime, I'm usually found crocheting, learning about history, taking dance classes, drawing, and painting. These are hobbies I enjoy incorporating into my role as a nanny to engage the children I care for creatively. I am very experienced in childcare, particularly special needs children. I have spent a lot of time watching my siblings, babysitting the children of family friends, and have taught many classes to elementary school art students, and young dancers at my studio. I’ve taken babysitters courses as well as been trained for many different aspects of teaching, including safety procedures and positive reinforcement. Growing up in a neurodivergent household has given me skills and special insight into navigating each child’s particular needs and way of learning. My siblings have given me experience with sleep disorders, severe tantrums, refusal to eat, or refusal to stop eating, and a wide variety of other behavioural problems.
