My name is Alyson and I am an honours graduate of George Brown’s Social Service Worker program and an Honours graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University in with Social Work Program with specialization in women and children
I love working with children. It is what I know I love and will spend the rest of my life working with kids. I also have experience working with children who have disabilities including ASD, ADHD, and anxiety.
My hobbies include crafting. I love doing diy projects in my spare time. I just learned to make a rug. I also love reading and long walks.
From a young age I have worked with children. At 14-15 I was a summer camp counsellor I worked with children from ages 5-11. For a few years I work some baby sitting jobs while working part-time and in school with those same ages, mostly for family. Then this past year I was doing my school placement at a residence for teenage boys and girls who had disabilities such as Autism, ADHD, and Anxiety. I currently work in a child children's learning centre that caters for six months to eight years old. I would say I mostly interact with those between one and five.
