Hi. My name is Erika. I am 23. I am originally from Maryland but moved to Vancouver to attend Culinary school. I went to university in Montreal before attending culinary school and during my last year in university I was a nanny to two three year olds. Most recently, I nannied for a 5 month old for about 4 months which was super fun and lovely. I have a lot of babysitting experience as well as 3 years of camp counsellor experience with age groups ranging from 4-14. I also completed an internship at the Delaplaine Visual Arts Center in Maryland as the Education Intern. My job was to facilitate educational programming for children using various artistic mediums in order to help kids find a means of self expression while also learning and having fun so needless to say I love doing crafts and cooking.

I worked as a summer camp counselor for 10 year olds through 15 year olds in the summers of 2015, 2016 and 2017. In 2019, I started I working from 8-1pm as a nanny for a 4 month old boy until he was about a year and a half. I loved getting to see these kids grow and being a part of that. When I nannied for this family last year, I would prepare meals for their child, clean their house and of course, play with their adorable son. When I lived in Montreal, I was a part time nanny for twin 4 year olds and my shifts would be about 9 hours. I would take them to the science center, on walks as well as plan activities and imaginative games for us to play.

I graduated high school in the US. I then moved to live in Israel for a year and obtained leadership training as well as attending social justice programming. After living in Israel, I attended Concordia University in Montreal and studied Sociology. After doing that, I moved here to Vancouver and attended Culinary School at Northwest Culinary Academy. In the summer, I will be attending Langara College to study Nutrition.
