| I was raised in a tiny town in western Quebec, moved to Ottawa 5 years ago for college, currently finishing my bachelor's in Psychology. I am a true nature enthusiast, spend most of my spare time outside, this is not weather dependent. I love reading, running, and skating. I have been going for a skate on the canal before sunrise, to avoid crowds, every morning. | Being the eldest of 4 has made me consistently gravitate towards caretaking. I had the privilege of working with the Tim Horton's children's foundation as a Wilderness guide and camp counsellor for 4 consecutive summers. This experience reinforced my love of nature and instilled an appreciation for wilderness education. During the beginning months of the pandemic I worked for national care on the dementia and cognitively impaired floor of a retirement home. I also started makeshift homeschooling/being a mobile camp counsellor for several families with young children. I love working with children and honour the responsibilities involved with taking part in the development of young minds. |
