Hi my name is Madison and I am a 20 year old student at York University, studying Children and Youth. I love being active, learning new things, being creative, and having fun. I am very passionate about working with children and aspire to become a teacher. I have trained as a karate student for 9 years, and have worked as a karate instructor for 2 years. I also have experience working with children through my co-op placement in a grade 2/3 classroom as a teacher's assistant. I am currently certified in First Aid and CPR training. I have also completed the Red Cross Babysitting course. I can also provide a vulnerable sector check if necessary. I love working with kids, and the responsibility that comes along with it. I worked as a part-time karate instructor for two years, teaching younger students new skills and the morals that come along with the practice of karate. Before being hired, I volunteered as a assistant instructor and mentor at karate summer camp. I also participated in a co-op position as a teacher's helper in a grade 2/3 classroom. This position allowed me to communicate effectively with children, assist with homework, and engage in different classroom activities. I also babysit a 3 year old child for 2 summers and currently tutor children from kindergarten to grade 8.

I am currently in my third year studying Children, Childhood and Youth at York University.
