My name is Katherine, I am 23 years old and I am from Montreal. I am currently finishing up my fourth year at St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish. I went to a private all-girls school called the Scared Heart School of Montreal. Before coming to the Maritimes for school, I was a lifeguard for four years and taught swimming lessons to children of all ages at a local pool in Rosemere, Quebec called the Rosemere Curling Club, I would spend every summer day at that pool growing up. I simply love being around children and have an interest in someday pursuing a career in education. I would love to teach high school history. I have two older brothers, and one younger brother. Growing up I was always looking after my brothers and making sure they were not getting into too much trouble. I grew up playing soccer, competing in swimming competitions. I have a big family with lots of cousins. My father is a born and raised Montrealer, he met my mother at St. Fx. My Mom is actually from Saint-Andrews, New-Brunswick, so I have been coming to NB almost every summer as a kid. I have such a love and appreciation for this beautiful province.

I worked as a lifeguard for 4 years, I also taught swimming lessons. I have also baby sat for multiple families in my neighbourhood. I was able to help get the children ready for walks, took them out on fun activities, make breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. Came up with some fun arts and craft activities as well. And played any sort of game the children wanted to play.

Currently competing my Bachelor of Arts with a Major in History. I hope to go into education someday and be a high school history teacher.
