My name is Kathleen Marie, I am 35 years old and a Filipina. I am married with two kids, a girl age 16 and a boy age 10. I am a college graduate in Bachelor of Science in Information Technology-Ladderized. My hobbies and interest are musics, dancing, reading books during my free time for continuous learning and I love cooking. I have years of experience in taking care of children of different ages from infant to preteens. My first experience was my own kids and when I dreamed of making their future better I decided to work abroad in 2010. I was hired to look after a newborn baby in Singapore, after my two-year contract I returned to the Philippines to go back to school to study again and after my graduation I went to Hong Kong as a Domestic Helper. I started working from 2016 to 2019. I was hired on my employers 8th month of pregnancy so basically I have been caring for the baby even before she's born. In the morning when my employers goes to work I have the sole responsibility of the baby. I do give her a bath, feeding her, put her to sleep. My duties start in the morning in preparing breakfast for the family and also prepare packed lunch for my employer who's off to work. I also do household chores. I clean the house, do the laundry, iron clothes, prepare meals for the family, go to grocery and walk the dog at night. Year 2019 when I went here to Canada. The loving family that hired me here has a daughter who is 16 months old and my employer was 4 months pregnant for their second baby. My childcare duties are mainly taking care of the kids, feeding them with nutritious foods, putting them to their naps, bath them, and making sure they gets engaged to activities that are appropriate to their developmental stage like reading them books, teach them ABC's, counting numbers, encourage them to sing and listen nursery rhymes and teach them to tidy up their toys after playing. I also do household chores. Housekeeping, do the laundry, prepare meals for the family. I enjoy interacting with children. Taking care of them gives me a certain kind of fulfillment. We need to give them guidance in these time. Being a nanny and as a mother as well is about having unconditional love for children. From previous employment I learned that every children and or their family are unique. Families and their kids has their own needs and as a child caregiver I have to understand on how to deal with their needs and their well-being. My experience has taught me to be more patient on how to deal with them by understanding their needs. I always follow the rules that my employer provided to maintain or support nurturing their children and practice them on how to be a good person. I am hardworking, flexible, independent, trustworthy, reliable, as evidenced by my wide experience in taking care of kids of different ages. I am very willing to learn and easy to get along with.

Every children are unique, they has their own needs and as a nanny I have to understand on how to deal with their needs and I can say that my experience has taught me to be more patient on how to deal with them by understanding their needs.
