Hi family. My name is Kaitlyn and I consider myself a professional big sister. I am single, currently live at home with my parents due to the pandemic, and have plenty of free time on my hands that I would love to fill with meaningful work. I have four younger siblings ranging from almost 18 to 4 years old and have being doing everything from bedtime to homework help with them since I was 10 years old. I have also been babysitting up to four children at a time with age ranges of newborn to preteen regularly for 7+ years. It takes a village to raise a child and each one is a unique, growing person who deserves to be listened to and supported by the people around them. I am a creative, a craft lover, an avid reader, a continuous learning enthusiast, a dance party starter, and a nature walk fan. I have never met a kid that I didn't like and that didn't teach me something new about the world. I think that's why I love kids so much- they have perspectives that aren't hindered by the concept of can't just yet. For that, they deserve to be treasured. I am happy to work with kids of all ages and help out with certain household duties as I currently do in my own home, especially if I can include the kids in getting the job done and teach them something while I do. I have been caring for my own siblings, ranging from 18-4 years old, for 10+ years. I have done everything from cook meals, to bathtime, to bedtime, and helping with homework. I have also babysat for numerous families for up to 12 hours a day, up to 5 days a week over the course of 7 years or more. I have cared for children from newborns to teenagers. I have also trained as a camp counsellor and consider myself adept at coming up with creative activities for kids to do.

I have completed my high school diploma with: honours, a French Immersion certificate, and a concentrated business certificate. I have also completed one year of the marketing program at Algonquin College and one year of their Professional Writing program as well.
