My name is Amanda. I have a background in childcare, in that I have been babysitting for close to a decade as well as being a mother myself. I have always loved working with children as I believe that they have a lot that they can teach you if your willing to listen, I believe that a lot can be learned from children by stimulating them to think about the world around them. I am a very compassionate individual and a very hard worker. I also very much encourage creativity as I believe that it is vital to the development of a young mind. I personally am very active so rest assured I wouldn't sit around and do nothing. I am not the kind of nanny to do bare minimum; all my previous babysitting jobs; when the children were asleep I'd be cleaning the house. I am quite a fan of nursery rhymes, story time & adventures. Children have always enjoyed my company; I believe it's due to the fact that I engage them and take an interest in them. In addition to childcare experience, I also have a son of my own (born November 5, 2014) & a daughter (born March 1, 2017) They have been the biggest blessing in my life, and taught me extreme patience and pushes me to be the best person I can be. Both of my children are extremely easy going and love other children.Both of my own children are in full time school. From a very early age, I have always loved children. I spent my days playing with the younger neighbourhood children, and in my elementary school I was known very well amongst the younger children as everybodies big sister. I peer tutored children in my elementary school, and not only did they seem to learn from me, but they had a lot of respect for me because I always treated them as equals. Nearly a decade later, not a whole lot has changed. I have a passion for working with children, and after many years settling for a job I haven't been happy with, I am looking to make the transition back into childcare. I am very hardworking, but I am also extremely caring and understanding. I believe that a lot can be learned from children if we take the time to listen, and they can share incredible insight on things that society has told us to just block out. I love children and working with children and I would love the opportunity to get to know your family and provide a caring and nurturing envirionment for everyone.
