Hello! My husband and I are looking for a full time [live out] nanny. We are looking for someone to start early MARCH, when our youngest will be 10 months, and our oldest 2.5 years old. Our son (the 2.5 year old) will be in day care part time (M,W,F), and our daughter home full time. We are not open to sponsoring. Both Sloane and Greyson (Grey) are very happy little ones, both on fixed nap schedules that we are all pretty committed to. They are both great travellers and are very quick to smile. Grey is whip-smart and needs someone who can engage him - reading is key for him. Sloane naps twice a day and Grey is still taking one afternoon nap. We are asking for help with light housekeeping and preparing meals for the kids. It's important to us that they are outside as often as possible, there are a number of drop - in centres, parks, cafes etc. in the neighbourhood. We're cyclists, business owners both, avid travellers, and music is an important part of our day - the kids too. Experience with young babies and toddlers is important to us, as well as first aid training. Someone who genuinely likes being around children is also very important. More specifically duties include: - caring for young baby -attending to child's personal needs such as bathing, dressing, feeding etc - engaging the children in developmentally appropriate activities and encouraging their development - light meal preparation for the family from time to time - performing light housekeeping such as cleaning and folding laundry - Spanish speaking would be an asset though not necessary Work Hours: - assuming 8:30-5:30, Mon - Fri Qualifications include: - professional, enthusiastic, fun loving, patient and creative - post-secondary education - 3 years of recent child care experience including working with infants/pre-schoolers - criminal record check - CPR and First Aid - Canadian work visa if required - Fluent in English; Spanish is a huge asset - Able to walk at least 10 blocks with stroller to and from local park
