DB
Active:

Please help 2 of us (my mother and myself) look after happy, non-violent dad (age 73 - had a stroke), with live-in weekdays caregiver job starting October 15, 2018. We need help as my mom looks after my special needs sister's, who sometimes attends an adult day program if she is feeling well + has her own PSW. Also, no need to bath, as dad has 1 hour daily from government worker (CCAC) to help in the morning (bath) and evening (dinner). -Wheelchair Transfers with EZ Turn Disk (not Hoyer lift, no lifting). Willing to train you. -Help make his simple breakfast and dinner only, assist with lunch meal preparation, and oversee his swallowing at breakfast/lunch. -Help with daily personal needs and therapeutic exercises (bike, hand therapy, standing) between 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. (with several breaks for yourself), and again for a brief time to put him to bed and administer night-time meds. -Help me take him to speech therapy and medical appointments. -Help us with record keeping of his medical condition and activities. -Light housekeeping No overnight duty required as mom deals with both of them nightly. Mom does her own cooking, grocery shopping and errands. With my job , I try to work at home, but it is unpredictable that I work many evenings, weekends or could be out of town. You are "on call" for emergencies beyond normal work hours (paid extra) to help my mom if I am not available. Sorry, no sponsorship at this time. Minimum 1 year commitment. Willing to train you if you previously had a caregiver certificate, but only had experience with kids before. PSW certificate not required. Live-in only please as this is not a live-out job. Please contact me to arrange sending resume/references and arrange an interview. Salary offer depends on experience. Thank you.
