Hi there, I am looking for a live in nanny/au pair who is interested in travelling Canada. We are stationed for months at a time across the country and I am looking for someone who sees this as exciting and an adventure. There are times we are in big cities, full of hustle and bustle with opportunities at every corner and there are times we are in really small remote communities, with limited options for extra-curricular activities which means you will be responsible for creating fun activities for my 2 1/2 year old son. There are times where a social life will be overflowing and there will be times where a social life is near impossible. I am looking for someone who is confident in their own skin, responsible, mature and very, very independent. Someone who can lesson plan on their own without my guidance and keep my son engaged and always learning; which is of utmost importance. I'm looking to find someone with a formal education in early childhood education, enjoys the outdoors and likes to be engaged in all sorts of activities: swimming, skiing, golf, learning new languages, eating very healthy, clean and mostly vegetarian, yoga and meditation, travel, music lessons, etc. etc... This is a very unique opportunity and is definitely not for everyone. The successful candidate will have to love spending time with a 2 1/2 year old, 12 hours/day, 6 days/week. It is long hours with weeks/months off throughout the year. I am an extremely hard working single mother and expect the same of those around me so if you're just looking for causal, super easy, low key commitment, this isn't the best option for you. I need someone who is excited and doesn't mind helping out, someone who will go the extra mile and who really, truly cares about my son, our family and home.
