We are two families looking for a nanny to take care of our two little ones beginning in July or August, at which point the children will be 13 months (boy) and 11 months (girl). For the month of August care would be needed on a part-time basis, 3 days per week for both children. Beginning in September, care would be required full-time for one child and 3 days per week for both children. If possible, the nanny would be available once per week in July to care for both children (as a gradual start and to determine if the fit is right). Job Specifics: - Full time child care position – Monday to Friday 7:30-5:30 (on average) with some flexibility of hours (i.e., may end at 4pm one day, begin at 9:00am some days). Care for one child would be required 5 days/week and the second child would join 3 days/week. Minimum 40 hours/week. - Minimum 1 year contract. - Job location: Mount Pleasant, Vancouver Skills and Experience: - Minimum 2 years childcare experience - Minimum 2 previous employer references willing to speak via phone - Infant/toddler care experience (familiar with bottle feeding, diapering, bathing a baby, etc) - Fluent in English - Willing to take the children out at least once a day, rain or shine - Familiar with/willing to take kids to programs like library storytime, music class, play gyms - High energy level to keep up with active babies/toddlers - Loving, calm but energetic demeanour; punctual, tidy, and reliable - Able to help with light housekeeping (ie load/unload dishwasher, dumping laundry in dryer, folding laundry (as related to children) - all time permitting and childcare first priority - Dog and cat friendly (small, well-behaved dog and two small cats reside at one of the households) - Up to date CPR/first aid - Criminal record check required Benefits: - Competitive salary - Vacation pay (2 weeks paid vacation) - Bus pass - MSP Please reply with your childcare resume and references.
