We are actively recruiting for a long term part-time live-out Nanny for our 2-year old daughter in our home located in the community of Tuscany. Beginning in September the hours of work will be: • 9:00am to 2:00pm; • Tuesday – Friday; and • some (very) occasional evenings. approximately 16 (daytime) hours per week. Compensation will be $14 per hour paid bi-weekly. The successful candidate will: • be authorized to work in Canada; • have completed high school successfully; • be fluent in English (verbal and written) • have at least 5-years experience with children between 2-5 years age; • have successfully completed at least one of - Babysitting Certificate / CPR-C / Standard First Aid or other related course (please be ready to provide proof); • training in Early Childhood Development (considered an asset); and • be comfortable and proactive with diaper changing and potty training. Some of the daily tasks required will: • be engaging, friendly and have an energetic disposition; • provide nurturing environment; • have some stimulating ideas for activities to do (age appropriate); • feed daily meals (occasionally breakfast, definitely lunch) and snacks if applicable and clean up afterwards; • plan and lead educational time (reading books, educational type games); • teach good social manners; • discipline when necessary; • enjoy playing and being outside in nature; and, • be reliable, trustworthy and honest. This is not an exhaustive list and if some things need to be added or removed from the job description, we will have a discussion with the successful candidate to find the right balance. IMPORTANT TO KNOW: • This is a clean, smoke free home; • Successful candidate must be comfortable being around two very friendly cats (nothing required from Nanny in terms of their care; and • Successful candidate must be able to provide two (2) references which are related to prior childcare related positions/jobs.
