We are looking for a part time nanny who loves children and is care giving. Ideally, we would love someone for a few years to bond with our children. We have a 10 year old, 6 year old, 2 year old and 2 little dogs. We live in Summerside and require childcare by the end of May. We are looking for someone who is honest, hard working, reliable, fun, energetic, patient and caring. HOURS: My spouse works away for 2 weeks at a time and I do 12 hour shift work at the hospital. I work nights days and even the odd weekend. While my spouse is away at work we require someone who would be willing to watch and play with our children for the following shifts: (Approx 5-8 shifts a month) A day shift would be a 14 hour day by the time I leave for work and get back to the house (6am-8pm). As for a night shift I would leave for work at 6pm and return in the morning by 8am. However, I would clearly need some sleep, so we would like you to stay until 1pm. We have a schedule that isn't overly flexible, but we do have months in advance to help plan. We also don't mind if you work with another family to help fill more hours as long as we take precedence. We have a bedroom or couch that you can sleep in on an over night shift. If you are unable to do either dayshift or night shift’s then perhaps you could do the days and another nanny could do the nights or vice versa. EDUCATION: minimum high school diploma, first aid/CPR an asset. DUTIES: Get children ready for school and make sure they are out the door on time - Our 10 year old is in grade 5 all day from 8-3, our 6 year old does half days in kindergarten 11:40-4:00, 5 days a week and of course our 2 year old is home all day. When you are here you would need to prepare meals for the kids, put them to nap and bed on time. you would need to insure homework is completed. Interactive play with children indoors and outdoors. There is a park and field just a one minute walk away. We also have a lake pass if you decide you would like to go there. Light housekeeping such as cleaning up after yourself. If you see laundry is getting full or dishwasher needs to be run or emptied... simple little things like that help us out a lot and would be greatly appreciated. Letting dogs out to the back yard to go to the bathroom ( no walks) EXPECTATIONS: transportation for yourself to and from our home. No transportation of the kids required unless inclement weather (-30 or colder). Our 5 year old gets picked up at the house for kindergarten and gets dropped of just around he corner approx a 5 min walk away. An adult needs to be there before they will release him off the bus, therefor you would need to be there to pick him up. If you feel you would be a fit for our family please contact us.
