REPORTS TO: Estate Manager LOCATION: Private residence approximately 30 minutes west of Calgary TYPE: Full Time POSITION OVERVIEW: Seeking a housekeeper to work in a private residence west of Calgary. The position will work Monday – Friday, working 40 hours per week if full-time, and roughly 3 days a week if part-time. The incumbent will work within a larger housekeeping and household teams, but will also be expected to work effectively and efficiently in an individual capacity. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be responsible for the day to day housekeeping to ensure the house is maintained at a high standard of cleanliness at all times. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Making of all beds and flipping mattresses over when required; • Cleaning of floors and bathrooms; • Cleaning of all linens, upholstery and draperies; • Cleaning the gym and gym equipment; • Completing laundry and dry-cleaning; • Cleaning the walls, stairs, light fixtures, switches and touch pads; • Maintain all furnishings in excellent condition, coordinating repairs and cleaning; • Vacuuming all surfaces; • Care of fine furnishings and finishes with correct methods and products; including brass, silver and copper furnishings; • Cleaning the pool area and change rooms; • Pet care as required; • Liaise with operations team on a daily basis; • Assist with set-up and tear-down of events hosted at the property; • Tidying and organizing of rooms, closets and storage spaces; • Assisting in kitchen preparing meals as required; • Occasional preparation and serving of breakfast; • Seasonal deep clean and special projects; • Decorate home for holidays and other special events; • Housesitting as required; and • Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: To meet the challenges of this role, the ideal candidate must be energetic, able to work well in a team, and have excellent problem solving skills. The ideal candidate will have the ability to be flexible with their schedule dependent on the activities and events occurring at the property. Other requirements include: • Ability to lift 20+ lbs; • Provide own transportation and comfortable with mountain driving conditions; • Ability to walk for 8 hours, climb stairs, bend, and perform repetitive motions; • Be service oriented, professional, courteous and accommodating; • Must be adaptable, flexible, and function effectively in a positive team environment; • Take initiative; • Flexible to work additional hours in the evening or weekend as required; • Possess a great attitude and communication skills both verbally and written; • Have knowledge of or is comfortable being trained on procedures for doing laundry, dry-cleaning, ironing, making beds, and the proper cleaning of fine furnishings and decorations; and • Possess a strong work ethic.
