HOUSEKEEPER LOCATION: Private residence in southwest Calgary & Ranch south of Calgary near Priddis REPORTING TO: Estate Manager TYPE: Full-time POSITION OVERVIEW: Seeking a full-time housekeeper to work in multiple private residences. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent will be responsible for day-to-day housekeeping ensuring that the residences are maintained at a high standard of cleanliness at all times. This position will be responsible for all housekeeping duties, but will work periodically within a larger property and housekeeping team. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Dusting and washing the surfaces of rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairways and all other areas of the property; - Vacuum, sweep, mop, and scrub floors of the property twice or more daily pending the time of year and foot traffic throughout; - Spot check/clean rugs, carpets and/or draperies as assigned; - Washing inside and outside of household windows daily, seasonally, or as requested; - Clean and maintain furniture and equipment (workout gym, etc.), disinfect surfaces; - Polish silver/copper/brass accessories, flatware, utensils and household fixtures; - Hand polish and machine buff fine wood, stone and marble floors as required; - Polish brass vents and oil metal fixtures; - Wash dishes and clean kitchens; - Scrub/clean outside BBQ, counters and any other surrounding cooking units; - Make beds, tidy bedrooms and bathrooms ensuring garbage is emptied daily; - Change bed linens every week or promptly after single use as requested; - Wash, iron, steam, fold clothing, linen and any other items as required; - Assist with proper settings for dinner parties/events when required; - High attention to detail and efficiency while conducting all household duties; - Other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: To meet the challenges of this role, the ideal candidate must be energetic and have excellent communication skills. Superb attention to detail is absolutely necessary for this position to be successful. Individuals will be required to consent to and successfully complete a criminal and credit back check process. Other requirements include: - Ability to follow instructions diligently in a respectful and professional manner; - Able to work weekends, evenings, special events and special projects, when required; - Trustworthy and ethical in character and personality; - Successful completion of a criminal and credit background check; - Ability to lift a minimum of 30lbs; - Must have a valid driver’s license and possess a reliable vehicle for transportation to the various properties for work; - Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, bend and perform repetitive motions for up to 8 hours; - Must be service orientated, professional, courteous and accommodating to employers and co-workers; - Must be adaptable and flexible; - Superb attention to detail; - Ability to work independently and as a team; - Possess a good attitude; - Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; - Possess a strong work ethic.
