Live Out Full Time Nanny Position for 12 Month Olds for 7-8 Month Term

It is preferred that the nanny has there own car to drive the children to activities but nannies with a drivers license without a vehicle may be considered. We are a professional couple looking for a caring, responsible and experienced nanny that is able to care for two (2) twelve (12) month old boys. Our son requires full time care. The second boy is our neighbour's son and you will care for him in addition to our son for 15-20 hours per week. You will be a nanny with at least three years experience in nannying infants (11 months to 19 months). You must love children and be reliable, trustworthy, and punctual. Our son is very active and engaging so you must be fun, active, and stimulating. You should have a genuine interest to play, read, teach, care, giggle, and smile. In return you will get plenty of smiling, giggles, funny grunts, and eye contact. You must be a non-smoker. It is preferred that the nanny has her own car to drive the children to activities but nannies with a drivers license without a vehicle may be considered. I may be able to make my vehicle available for use. This position starts in the beginning of March and ends in October. A typical day will be 7:30am to 5pm. You will be paid for 40 hours per week. Hours over 40 hours will be banked for paid time off during our family's vacations and when less hours a week are needed; as such you will earn a consistent bi-monthly wage. Some overtime may be paid if it is greater than the time off given. Your responsibilities will include: - Preparing meals and snacks, feeding, and cleaning afterwards including wiping the floor - Encouraging children to self feed a variety of healthy foods - Putting the children down for two naps a day (1-1.5 hour naps with approximately 3.5 hour wake periods in between) - Diaper changes - Playing, reading, doing art, and singing with the children - Taking the children outside for walks and to play - Encouraging the children to share, be respectful, and clean up after themselves - Helping the children reach their developmental goals (standing, walking, talking, fine motor skills, etc) - Lots of smiling, giggling, and fun - Taking/driving and accompanying a child or children to activities such as a library reads program, music class, swimming class, or to a lunch with mom downtown - Light housekeeping as time permits (i.e. loading and emptying the dishwasher, wiping counters, tidying, family laundry, taking out the garbage, etc.) - Planning and reporting on activities of the day - Taking direction as given on activities for the day For consideration you will need to provide documentation of: - A clear criminal check - Current CPR and First Aid certification - Reference letters with direct contact information - A current driver’s licence - Driving record - Photo identification About us and our son: I am a 40 something professional engineer who likes the arts, playing squash, cycling and all things creative. Albeit I can be a bit messy I am in the process of organizing the house, I do like structure, to do lists, accountability, and greatly appreciate this type of support. For good work expect many compliments and thank-yous. My husband is a 40 something procurement manager who likes cooking, cars, movies, and is working on a side business. Our son likes eye contact, give many smiles, and babble. He is curious and currently crawling around tipping baskets of toys. We are complimented everywhere on his cuteness and demeanour. He will be a pleasure to look after. The second boy, who will be looked after on a part-time basis, compliments my son well. He is more thoughtful than energetic. Right now he sits very well versus my son is wiggly and wants to crawl especially if he sees a remote control nearby. They have known each other for a while. A past babysitter has said that they are good boys and easy to care for. We are a professional couple looking for a caring, responsible and experienced nanny that is able to care for two (2) twelve (12) month old boys. Our son requires full time care.
