Thanks so much for the applications and interest! Our nanny has changed her mind and we will no longer need a summer nanny. Hi there! We are a family with two girls, who will are 4 and nearly 7 years old. Our older daughter is a clever little girl who loves to play, is very social and is increasingly independent. Our little one is active, shy and very bright. They are both imaginative, fun-loving and have killer smiles. They are very close and (mostly) get along very well. We need an in-home, temporary live out nanny while our beloved nanny is on a short leave. We are sorry, but we not able to accommodate a live-in nanny. Responsibilities will be primarily childcare, including bringing them to classes and campsl, arranging activities and playdates, making healthy lunches and snacks, and tidying up after the girls. Housekeeping duties and errands are also required where possible. We are hoping to have a nanny comfortable with lots of socializing with other kids and nannies, biking and swimming with the girls, and getting outside as much as possible. We have zoo passes, Spark passes, and Heritage Park passes and encourage other outings as well. Driving is required, though the amount is driving is minimal and is primarily in the neighbourhood. We can provide a vehicle with car seats. This is a full time position, however the hours will vary from week to week depending on our family's needs. We are committed to gentle parenting approaches including positive discipline, and our preference is a candidate with experience or knowledge in this approach. Kindness, patience and compassion are of course essential. We have a preference for a student in a relevant field. No phone calls, please.
