We are currently looking for a caring and strong female caregiver to work in a private home with two children with special needs 10 and 12 years Old with varying degrees of cognitive delay and medical disability. We are looking for someone with prior child care experience and knowledge of child development to assist with providing medical support and encourage their social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. The hours for this position are Weekdays: 40-50 hours/week (split shift before and after school care) Job Description: • Provide medical care and support for children with high medical needs and global delays • Provide g-tube feeds at scheduled times • Help with personal care as required • Assist the therapy team with the implementation of developmental goals • Assist in the nursing process by observing and reporting changes in the children's physical condition • Share responsibility for the care and maintenance of medical equipment Qualifications: • Previous experience providing care for children with disabilities •Nursing background and training from other countries will be considered. • Current First Aid and CPR • Current Criminal Record Check • Patient, creative with a willingness to learn new things. • Able to take direction and communicate well in English, including written documentation • Genuine interest and concern for children in home. • Should commit to a long term employment.
