Caregiver for our 92 year old mother still living in her own home. She just had a minor stroke on Sept. 5th & has been in the hospital for the past few weeks. She is coming home on a trial basis Monday Oct. 1st. She is ambulatory, however, does use a walker. She has a pacemaker, bilateral hip replacements, arthritis & memory loss. She currently receives daily home support visits through Interior Health, however, we have concerns regarding her safety at bedtime & first thing in the morning. We prefer to keep her @ home for as long as possible. We are looking for someone to come in to ensure she gets into her pyjamas, goes to bed, & to sleep every night (e.g. approx. 8:30-10pm). Also, we want someone to come every morning to wake her up, provide showers 2X per week, help her dress, & make breakfast (e.g. approx. 7:30-9am). The scope could be negotiated based on the applicant's qualifications. Also, we would need at least 2-people to provide the service 7-days per week so that weekends are covered.
