We're looking for a nanny for 3 days per week starting mid-August for our son who will be 9 months at the time, and our daughter who is 4 years old. Our daughter will be starting Kindergarten in September, so we will mostly need someone to look after our little guy, as well as do school pickup at 3pm (1 block from our house), sometimes school drop off at 9am, and full day care on Pro-D days (approximately once a month). We are ideally looking for Monday, Wednesday and Friday , but we could also do Monday, Tuesday and Friday or Monday, Thursday and Friday if need be. Hours would be 4-5 hours on the Monday (increasing in January) and approximately 8:15am to 5pm on the other two days. Our 4 year old is creative, energetic, spunky and loves learning, drawing, playing, singing and reading books. Our little guy is easygoing, happy, loves toys and is very social. He likely will be napping twice a day by August. We are looking for a nanny who is energetic, caring, reliable, adventurous and willing to take the kid(s) on daily outings to the library, family centre, play gyms, etc. We are looking for someone who can do all regular childcare duties, including meals, naps, providing educational experiences and potty training when the time comes. Light cleanup related to the children will be included, but no housekeeping/deep cleaning required. An Early Childhood Education certificate and CPR/first aid are assets but not a must. We most importantly want someone who can become part of the family so we can rest easy while we're at work! We are located in East Vancouver close to King Edward and Knight St., very accessible by transit. We are offering $18-21 per hour depending on experience, plus CPP, EI and WorkSafe covered.
