Responsible for the proper stocking of their carts at the end of day or in the morning. Clean all assigned guestrooms including: dusting, making beds, soiled linen removal from rooms, and retrieval of clean linen from linen closets, vacuuming, bathroom cleaning, inside window cleaning, replenish rooms with supplies Cleaning of bathroom, stripping the beds, making the beds, vacuuming, dusting all areas of the room. Places towel on towel rack in bathrooms. Empties garbage from rooms onto cart. Empties dirty linen from bin into the laundry shoot. Stock linen closet. Keep Maintenance informed of any faulty room amenities—TV, light bulbs, toilet, etc. Handle and report lost and found items. Attend to guests’ requests for supplies. Maintain proper usage of cleaning supplies and equipment Follow all safety and sanitation policies Follow departmental policies and procedures and service standards Other duties as assigned Job Requirements: Flexible and energetic with the ability to work under pressure Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Attention to detail Previous housekeeping experience an asset Must be able to understand both oral and written English Must be able to communicate in English Physical aspects of the position include but are not limited to the following: Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs Frequent kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting Occasional ascending or descending stairs
