We are looking for a part-time mother’s helper to help with the transition back to school for our family. We are located in Bridlewood, Kanata and have a 4-year-old son who will be starting Junior kindergarten in September and a 1-year old daughter who will also be in daycare. I am completing my master’s degree and will be back to school in September and my husband works full time. We are looking for someone who can work part time 3 hours per day on weekdays to help us with meal preparation and for picking the kids up at the end of the day and getting them started with supper before my husband comes home from work. The kids school and daycare are both within a 10-minute walk of our house (700 metres). Some light house-keeping may also be required. The hours would be approximately 2:30-5:30 pm Monday through Friday. We would like you to be able to start in the last week of August so that you can get to know the kids and duties before we all start school. We are hoping to find someone with a warm and energetic personality who will be able to draw our timid son out of his shell. First aid/ CPR, a clean criminal record (vulnerable sector) check and a non-smoker are a must. A strong command of the English language is important, and some French would be helpful as my son will be in French school and this will help with the pickups at the school.
