As of Sept 10, we are actively looking for a childcare provider. ---- I hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy through this pandemic. As school re-opens, we're not fully convinced it will last or that it will be safe for the parents and families of children. Although our kids really need a chance to connect with the peers, we expect to have our two children home and learning remotely monday to friday. They need a care giver that can support them and engage them in this to get through the curriculum. Ideal solution would be Monday-Friday, 9:00-4:00. I expect this position could start in mid September and run into the new year and possibly through to next summer or even fall. We're located in Nepean, Ontario (K2H5M1 -- Near the Nepean Sailing Club, between the Moodie & Holly Acres exits from the Queensway). We have two wonderful kids (7 & 8). The young one is fairly typical, easy going, sweet, good listener. The older one is deeply engaging but unique (gifted, some lagging skills, can be challenging but the worst of that is behind him). We’re looking for someone experienced and/or trained, able to engage our kids and genuinely positive / constructive outlook. As we head into fall / winter, we need someone with their own transportation. Regarding the pandemic: We've been very diligent about managing exposure risk as the 8 year old and 'dad' are asthmatic and we have some grandparents that we intend to see on a weekly basis.
