My wife and I are looking for a nanny / mother’s helper to assist part-time during weekday afternoons / early evenings (around 3:30-7p) with the care of our 6 month old son and almost 3 year old daughter. I am an American (from Hawaii) and my wife is French - both English and French are spoken at home. I have a fairly demanding job, and travel for business 1-2x per month. My wife will be at home, but caring for two little ones in the way we would like them to be cared for, with the attention that they both deserve, is challenging. Our housekeepers come twice a week, so the main priority in this role will be to help my wife tend to the needs of our kids (eg prepare their food / baby’s bottle, carry around our son, play with my daughter, change diapers, etc). We also have found a full-time nanny to cover mornings through mid-afternoons. The right person for us will be aligned with our parenting style, will be trustworthy and reliable, will foster a peaceful but fun environment, and most importantly will get along well with our kids. The start date would be as soon as we find the right person. Our home is in Westmount, near the library.
