We are looking for reliable and kind caregiver to help our 83 year old Italian mother who suffers from advanced Parkinson’s and is diabetic. She does not drink any liquids or food through mouth. She is presently being feed through feeding tube (peg) for 12 hours each day. Looking for one caregiver position in the Ahuntsic area situated between Sauvé and Cremazie metro. Part time - Saturday and Sunday flexible 8 hour shifts between 8:30 am to 22:00 pm. This can vary from weekend to weekend depending on family needs. Responsibilities: - Help with hygiene at bedtime, putting her pajamas and getting her to bed (9:30-10:00) - Assist with walking and mobility which involves going from bedroom to kitchen a few times a day. - Administering medication with 60 ml syringe at 18:00 and 22:00 - Toileting Assistance / incontinence (diapers) - Possibility of insulin injection - Tube feeding – knowledge in using feeding pump - Small household chores such as doing her laundry, making bed, etc. - Supervision: she spends majority of the day sitting in kitchen watching TV.
