John has Vascular-Dementia so his short term memory is affected. John is generally happy man, friendly and easy to talk with and queue. John requires assistance and gentle reminders. Such as (unassisted) shower reminders, ensuring clean clothing are laid out for him to put on. Has some incontinence and recently began to use incontinence product. John usually makes his instant coffee himself however we suspect his memory to eat is failing. Once queued he will eat everything in front of him independently. In the warmer months he is outside a lot doing his yard work or laying in the sun. Winters are harder so we have set up Day Program Monday,Tuesday,Thursday & Friday. John Requires assistance with laundry, making meals ensuring he eats, medication reminders and ensuring meds are taken, checking bedding is clean and if not put in the laundry assistance by doing laundry, getting the garbage and recycling out out correctly he would likely enjoy helping out. Creating a grocery list, possibly going grocery shopping or we will get groceries for John and you making meals. This position we are looking for morning assistance Monday,Tuesday,Thursday & Friday to assist John to get ready for Day Program. Wednesday he gets picked up and dropped off for a lunch and stays home Wednesdays. John requires queuing for everything and you will help with that day to day. We live close by so communication & support will be ongoing with us.
