Looking for someone to start March 12, 2021 The hours are: Friday 12:00pm to Monday 5:00pm. You will be required to stay overnight on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night. IF YOU CAN'T WORK ALL OF THOSE HOURS DO NOT APPLY. IF YOU CAN'T STAY OVERNIGHT, DO NOT APPLY. Length of care required is estimated at 3-6 months. The pay is up to $25/hr for regular hours and $37.50/hr for overtime. There is no charge for food or lodging, food will be provided. Normal paydays are the 1st and 15th of each month. Your pay is subject to normal source deductions such as tax. This is NOT paid in cash. A normal workday is 13 hours, 8 hours at regular pay and 5 overtime hours. The workday starts at 8am and ends at 9pm. This position requires you to live-in during your work days. This is not negotiable. If you can't stay overnight during your shifts, do not apply. If you can't work the all of the days and all of the hours, do not apply. Another caregiver will be with my mom when you are not working so you are not able to stay on your days off. My mother apartment is located in Port Coquitlam. It’s a two bedroom and has been completely renovated, everything is brand new. You would have your own bedroom that is fully furnished with a large closet. The apartment has cable TV and WIFI. My mom was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She can hold a conversation with you but her speech and memory is declining. She will need help taking her medication. She needs assistance with toileting. My mom is in a wheelchair but can stand up to be transferred. There are NO pets or other people in the home. Duties: Prepare meals - breakfast, lunch, dinner Supervising taking medication (pills are in a blister pack and delivered monthly) Helping her shower and get dressed Light cleaning/housekeeping Companionship during the day Requirements: Experienced care aide with seniors Experience using a lift is preferred Strong English language, no other languages are required References will be required
